The Junior Friends of the Essex Library help to plan and promote programs, work on community service projects, raise money for the library, and read with younger students. The Junior Friends also meet to discuss favorite movies, music, web sites and enjoy snacks and games at the library on a monthly basis.

Junior Friends Recruitment! (Ongoing ) Join today and spread the word to interested friends!
We’re starting a Reading Buddy Program! 5th and 6th and 7th graders are joining Kindergarten – 3rd graders for reading sessions at the Essex Library. How exciting! Reading buddy sessions will start July 13th and will occur every Monday throughout the summer from 3-4pm at the Essex Library. If you are interested in registering your younger child for any session, please call Jessica at the Library @ 860-767-1560. If you would like to help the Jr. Friends with readings, please fill out an application today!
