We need more elves!
Our annual morning with Santa program is coming up – and fast!
We’ll be meeting at the Essex Town Hall at 9:30 am to decorate the room with North Pole style.
We need special help with letter writing, snack distribution, and Santa arrival.
Please email Jessica (jbranciforte@essexlib.org) if you have a preference about which part of the program you would like to help with.
We can’t wait to see you again this year!

The costumes were out at our second annual Jr. Friends Halloween Bash. We’ve got new members and we’re ready for a new year of great events and community service!

Jr. Friend Maria created a fabulous pumpkin backdrop for community children to use at the annual Scarecrow festival. It was so gorgeous it made the newspaper.

Urgent parade update!
The Park and Recreation department as changed the time that parade participants need to arrive!
We have been asked to arrive at 11:00 am in the Town hall parking lot this Saturday, the 19th. Any later and we’ve been told we might miss the parade departure!
We’ll have time to decorate and get our gold ready to pass out once we’re situated on our float.
Check out the fabulous pictures of our meeting on Monday, where Jr. Friends prepared our decorations, costumes and publicity for the big shindig on Saturday.

To prepare for this event, we’ll get together for our monthly meeting on Monday March 14th at 4 pm in the library program room. There we will create a banner and some signs for our float and get ready for the parade this weekend!!
If you’re a junior friend and would like to join us for the parade, please meet at the Essex Town Hall at 11:30 on Saturday morning, March 19th. Try to remember the permission slip that you received in the mail if you can!

As a last minute edition to our paper newsletter this month, the library has asked the Jr. Friends to film a commercial! We’re calling an official emergency meeting for Monday, March 7th at 4pm.
We’re hoping to get the whole gang involved! If you happen to catch the news before school, spread the word!
